DIGGING UP INNOV8'S ALBERTA ROOTS
In 1999, innov8’s Andre Brosseau partnered with Red Deer’s Digitex Copiers & Fax Inc. in what was then a new startup company. With partners Rob Barden and Chris Brown, the business soon grew a reputation for providing unparalleled service and value.
The business expanded to Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray, and by 2011 was recognized as the largest Canon office equipment dealer in Canada.
In 2013, Andre stepped down as Digitex President to focus on expanding the business across BC. He had sold the farm (literally) and moved his young family to Kelowna. However, upon arriving in the Okanagan, Andre’s plans had to be altered. His wife, Katia, underwent severe health concerns that required surgery. To help care for his family, Andre sold his interest and invested in a small Kelowna office systems company.
“It was a difficult time, but Katia’s surgery was a success, and within the year, life went back to a somewhat normal pace,” Andre recalls.
With business expanding in the BC Interior and new acquisitions on Vancouver Island, all operations merged into one solid foundation: innov8 Digital Solutions.

Since acquiring its first office, innov8 has seen sales increase by more than 1,000 percent.
